We met on New Year’s Day 2020 at Trummer’s Coffee Bar, clearly starting the year (and something much bigger) off right. What began as a casual conversation over coffee quickly turned into bonding over cheesy movies and our shared sense of humor.

By our second date, we were already in sync, so much so that we voluntarily sat through Cats (yes, that version of Cats) just to see how bad it really could be. Spoiler: it was awful. But also, kind of perfect.

Since then, we’ve built a life full of love, dog hair, and lots of laughs. Enzo, our quarantine puppy, was the first to join the family, and a few years later, Sean pulled off a surprise proposal at Mackenzie’s family home complete with a Dalmatian puppy and a ring tied to his collar.

These days, we spend our time at concerts, comedy shows, and quoting bad movie lines. But when it comes to this next chapter, we’re doing something a little more serious. We’re getting married on New Year’s Eve, so when the clock strikes midnight, we’ll have officially known each other for exactly six years.
